What is KeepMore.Money?

KeepMore.Money is a global tax calculator designed for digital nomads, expats, and remote workers. It lets you compare take-home pay across countries in seconds, factoring in taxes, social contributions, and special regimes like Portugal's NHR. Our goal is to surface "tax shocks" — for example, "$25K more per year in the UAE vs. the US" — so you can optimize where you live and work. It's a planning tool, not tax advice; always consult a professional for your specific situation.

How does the calculator work?

Enter your salary, pick up to 2 countries on the free plan (4 with Premium), and see instant breakdowns: gross income, deductions, taxes, social contributions, and net pay. We use verified 2026 data from official sources like the OECD and national tax authorities. Results update live as you type. You can share results as a short link or image — no account required.

Is the data accurate?

We target 90%+ accuracy using verified sources including the OECD and national tax authorities. That said, tax rules are complex and change frequently — your actual liability depends on factors like citizenship, residency status, deductions, and local rules. Current calculations assume a single filer with no dependents. For edge cases we surface caveats (e.g. "Check your double-tax treaty if you hold dual citizenship"). Use results for planning and comparison — not for filing. We update data annually or when major legislative changes occur.

Does it handle special tax regimes?

Yes. We currently support Portugal's NHR 2.0 and IFICI regime, as well as Greece's High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) regime. More programs — including Spain's Beckham Law, Italy's Impatriati regime, and others — are available on Premium. Select the relevant regime in the calculator form to see how it changes your take-home pay.

What about residency tracking?

Residency tracking is a Premium feature. Log your trips manually and the tracker calculates running day counts per country, generates risk scores (e.g. "82% toward Schengen overstay"), and sends alerts when you're approaching key thresholds. It integrates with the calculator to show how your physical presence affects your tax obligations. No GPS tracking required — you control all data entry. Premium ($15/month, 7-day trial) adds the Residency Tracker, tax and Schengen alerts, Tax Savings Ledger, special regime modeler (IFICI, Beckham, HNWI, LTR), Audit Vault, annual Health Report, FEIE vs FTC optimizer, mid-year move and RSU tools, four-country comparisons, and an AI tax advisor. Every capability is documented on /features with links to /pricing and /tutorials. Your trip logs and documents stay in the private dashboard—not on public pages.

How do tax residency alerts work?

Alerts monitor your logged travel against Schengen 90/180 windows, visa stay limits, and configured tax-residency day thresholds (often 183 days). When you approach a limit, the dashboard and alert inbox warn you before an extra week abroad triggers unintended residence. Can I use it for a family or with dependents?

Currently the calculator assumes a single filer with no dependents — this is the MVP focus. Family-adjusted calculations (married filing jointly, dependent deductions, and credits) are on our roadmap. Premium subscribers will be the first to know when it launches.

How do I share my results?

One click generates a shareable short URL, lets you post directly to X (Twitter) or LinkedIn, or exports a PNG image of your comparison. Basic sharing works without an account. Premium users can save named scenarios and revisit them at any time from their dashboard.

Premium is $15/month and unlocks comparisons across up to 4 countries, saved scenarios, the full residency tracker, safety scores, AI risk alerts, affordability data, special tax regimes, and priority support. There's a 7-day free trial — cancel anytime through your billing portal. No ads, ever.

What if I find an error or need support?

Email us at support@keepmore.money — Premium subscribers get priority responses. To report a data error, use the in-app report button on any results page and describe what looks wrong. We review every submission and push corrections in our next data update.

Question 12

What about privacy and data security?

Accepted Answer

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We're GDPR-compliant for users worldwide and we never sell your information to third parties. GPS location is entirely opt-in and only relevant if you choose to use the residency tracker. You can export or permanently delete your account data at any time from your profile settings.

Is there a mobile app?

KeepMore.Money is web-first and built as a Progressive Web App (PWA). On iPhone or Android, open the site in your browser and use "Add to Home Screen" for an app-like experience with offline calculations. A native app is planned if demand warrants it — we'll announce it to our community first.
