How the 90/180 rule works
Each day of physical presence in the Schengen Area (except Ireland and Cyprus for this rule) counts toward 90 days. The window looks back 180 days from your reference date — not calendar year. Overstaying can lead to fines, entry bans, or future visa refusals.
